A Different Kind of Fine-Dining

New 44th Street and Camelback Corridor Steakhouse Coming Soon by Restaurateurs Dennis Mastro, Michael Mastro, Jeffrey Mastro and Scott Troilo

Steak 44 Opens early 2014 and will showcase a warm, approachable, and upscale atmosphere.

PHOENIX) – Just in time for spring training, the 44th Street and Camelback Corridor will once again be known as a great hub for prime steaks. Jeffrey Mastro, Michael Mastro, Dennis Mastro and Scott Troilo, the owners of the popular Dominick’s Steakhouse at the Scottsdale Quarter, are bringing their fine dining and tantalizing steaks, rightfully called Steak 44, to the former Phoenix landmark north of Camelback Road on 44th Street. The 8,421 square-foot space, which once housed Cork ‘N Cleaver, will preserve the building’s charm while transforming it into a new upscale urban oasis. The landmark will showcase a brand new bar, glass expo kitchen and many dining rooms that feature unique atmospheres and charm, truly something for everyone to call their new favorite steakhouse and hangout.

Upon entering Steak 44 guests will walk through a 3,000-bottle wine vault in the entryway and then have the option of sitting down in the sexy sunken bar area or in one of the many dining rooms, from the Chef’s Dining Room to the intimate and vibrant main dining room.

Steak 44’s menu offers a twist on the classic steakhouse menu while reinforcing the idea of a new American steakhouse. Guests will enjoy several options of the best in prime steaks and chops in various portion sizes, along with a large assortment of side dishes and appetizers to choose from. Some of those dishes include Denver Lamb Ribs, Braised Pork Belly, Fresh Oysters, Roasted “Duck” Potatoes, Steakhouse Stuffing and Potatoes with Schreiner’s Sausage.

Steak 44 entrees will include Petite Filet Mignon, Delmonico, NY Strip, Bone-in Filet Mignon, and Bone-in NY Strip. Additionally, Atlantic seafood selections will be offered including delicate soft shell crab, Shetland Island salmon and a raw bar featuring an extensive shellfish selection. Guests will also be treated to other great dishes on a special section of the menu like a Bone-in Veal Chop, Chicken and Sausage, and Braised Short Rib.

At the helm will be veteran Executive Chef Marc Lupino of Dominick’s Steakhouse and Steak 44 Head Chef Geoff Baumberger.

Steak 44 Owner Jeffrey Mastro calls Steak 44 a warm, contemporary and inviting atmosphere to enjoy some of the best steaks, seafood and drinks in Phoenix.

“Guests will enjoy the same great steaks and seafood we serve at Dominick’s, but at Steak 44 you’ll see a few more fun additions to the menu, as well as a variety of portion sizes for everything we serve,” said Jeffrey Mastro, partner in Steak 44 and Dominick’s Steakhouse.

Steak 44 will also feature desserts like a Grilled Banana Split, Hot Fudge Sundae, Bag of Warm Donuts, Apple Pie, New York Cheese Cake with fresh strawberries, Mom’s ice cream cake, Coffee Cake with cinnamon crumbles, and a local Sonoran Brewing Company Root Beer Float.

A series of grand opening parties will be held in the week leading up to the opening. To get more information about the opening coverage and party attendance, please email Jennifer Parks at Jparks@RoseMoserAllynPR.com or call 480.495.3806.
